This morning I read that Anderson Cooper has opened up and 'came out' as being Gay. I can imagine just how some people are going to react to this news. After seeing how the group 'One Million Moms' boycotted JCPenny, I'm sure there is going to be some controversy. {There always seems to be}
I give Props to those in the 'celebrity spotlight' who have the courage to be open about their sexuality. Many have speculated about Anderson Cooper's personal life but until now- he has always kept it under wraps. As someone with a sister {who has a wife} I have seen how cruel the world can be. As someone who is now admitting to having {loved a girl in my high school years}, I have felt the pain of others' criticism. Being in the 'celebrity spotlight' has got to amplify that criticism 1000x's.
Major Props, Anderson! Major Props!
Thank you for being brave enough & {proud enough} to bare such a personal part of yourself to the world. It means so much to so many. And you just earned even more {hotness} points in my book.

I think it's great too! And you're right, one million moms will probably have something to say about this.
ReplyDeleteLet's just see how long it takes them this time. Just stinks that people have to be that way over things. Ya know?
DeleteI am the same way about not liking to get into controversial matters... And I dream of the day when someone's sexuality is not controversial!!
ReplyDeleteAgreed :D
DeleteI'm just so happy that folks are comfortable discussing it. I remember when I was told as a child that GLBT were mythological like unicorns. Talk about looking back and rewriting my own history! Took me a couple decades to realize that my godmothers were more than best friends and roommates. Love should not have to hide its faces. Thank you for this...and TALU-ho!
