Impeccable Petunia Book Review {& Giveaway)

{Source}

I was recently contacted about an opportunity to read {and review} the book Impeccable Petunia. This book is classified as being for middle school/young adult age children. However, I agree with the author that it's more so just general fiction. Let me tell you- I'm closer to being 30 than I am being 20 & I thought this book was wonderful. Once I started reading, I was finished before I knew it. It left me wanting to read the continuation right away. Too bad it's not available just yet.

Impeccable Petunia Part 1: Claws, Paws, Feathers and Jaws is focused around a yard chicken named Petunia. The others in the chicken coop have always seen her as different. Even her black and white markings stand out as being unique. However, being unique is looked down upon by a majority of the fellow hens. This brings about a "Mean Girls" kind of vibe from time to time.

This book also tells of the pain of being misunderstood, & levels of fear that many of us are lucky enough to never have to experience. Bravery, true friendships & unique bonds are also shared as part of this delightful tale.
